You make dedicated ASMR videos for the LGBT demographic – what’s your motivation behind this?
Yes so I am bisexual myself and I found it very hard to accept myself and come out when I was younger so I want to help and reassure others when it comes to LGBT related things, especially facing stigma and building confidence.
Have you come across any issues within the ASMR community?
I would say that usually the ASMR community responds very well to LGBT issues, however there are always going to be a few people who don’t agree and feel the need to state their opinion, I never usually even notice negative comments but when they are regarding the LGBT community, I have to admit, it sometimes hits a nerve.
What more do you think society can do for the LGBT community? Can ASMR help?
In general, I think that change happens bit by bit so every little bit of love counts. I think that what really counts is respect, so even if you don’t understand something, kindness is always appreciated. ASMR can definitely help with the LGBT community, especially positive affirmations which can build up a person’s confidence and acceptance of themselves.
ASMR mostly helps people in times of need so I like to think that the ASMR community is a very positive community for someone going through trouble could turn to.
I have received some very special messages which are dear to my heart , saying how my videos have helped them to accept themselves, I have also had a lot of people open up to me about their sexuality and ask for advice on certain situations.
Comments you have come across - the good and the bad and the ugly?
So I receive a vast array of comments from the very worrying to the most heart warming. I always love the fact that people open up and share their experiences in the comments section , it really feels like an accepting community!
Any upcoming videos, exclusive content - channel promo you would like to tell us about?
Hmmm , at the moment I feel very creatively inspired and I am not feeling as much pressure and I have been able to let go a bit and let ASMR be a hobby again which is amazing. There are definitely a lot of things that I have planned, such as another channel and a shop etc but that is all in the works and you will find out about them soon 💕💕.
