Back in November 2019, I was interviewed by Shalinn Yeap for the Western Independent, Curtin University’s journalism Programme (Perth Australia).
It’s incredible to see student’s using ASMR in their research – I have seen many Psychology student’s reach out to ASMR viewers on Reddit asking them to complete surveys for their dissertations.
In her article ‘ASMR: not just an internet trend’ Shalinn explores what ASMR is physically, the stigma surrounding watching ASMR videos and the potential benefits of ASMR.
Here’s the video of the initial interview, where I was shocked to learn that none of the Australian Psychologists Shalinn reached out to wanted to discuss ASMR as they perceive it as pseudoscience.
