I know there's controversy surrounding kids creating ASMR content and I welcome the debate, however, my opinion is as follows...
Yesterday, my nephew, off his own back, asked me if he could make an ASMR video for kids - after confirming if this would be okay with his mum, I happily let him borrow my microphone, and I'm really glad I let him because he created something so incredibly cute and sweet!
Kids need to unwind before bedtime - especially if they've had a really hyper evening! Just like a bedtime story, ASMR can provide them with entertainment that isn't too stimulating to enable them to wind down before they finally get sent to bed - if you're not familiar with kids, most of them hate going to bed!
My nephew wanted to create a relaxing video for other kids his own age - he was so exited to make it and he loved learning about YouTube as he has grown up in the age of YouTube and absolutely adores Dan TDM etc.
To conclude, I don't see the harm in children creating content - as long as it has been checked by their parent/guardian and it is suitable for their audience. ASMR should be inclusive, not exclusive.
